Why Detox?
Years of high stress lifestyles, poor diets, weight loss schemes, lack of nutrients, synthetic medications and environmental poisons create a toxic soup of imbalanced chemicals in the body. These toxins damage our metabolism, produce hormonal chaos and set up long term chronic diseases.
Cleanse and Clear is a six week program for detoxification, regeneration and restoring hormonal balance. Unlike many “over the counter” detox and weight loss schemes , Cleanse and Clear is a comprehensive medical program which addresses underlying causes of imbalance, disease and weight issues.
This program has been designed to give nourishment to the body, knowledge to the mind and nurturing for the spirit. The process helps to detoxify and eliminate that which no longer serves us, at all levels, and provides tools for creating the health and healing that we desire. Ultimately it will also help you achieve and maintain ideal body weight.
The detox and elimination diet utilizes a scientifically formulated, hypoallergenic, nutraceautical protein powder, to clear the body of accumulated toxins, allowing for improved metabolism and hormonal balance. As you begin to cleanse the body, you will identify unknown food allergens that may be contributing to symptoms such as joint and muscle pain, fatigue, allergies, depression, anxiety, headaches, irritable bowel, sleep disturbances and hot flashes.
Each participant receives a Cleanse and Clear workbook and daily journal to lead you step by step through the cleansing and healing process. Helpful journal questions and weekly tips gently guide you through healing changes, while scientific information on creating health is discussed.
There are two ways to do the Cleanse and Clear program:
1. Individual detox: An hour long, private, in-office initial session with Dr. Christensen’s nurse-nutritionist is followed by three, 30 min in office or phone consultations over the following 4 weeks. Fee: $195 includes workbook/journal. 2.5 hours of office time Supplements additional (average $200-400)
In the first session, the program is reviewed in detail, with practical tips on how to implement dietary changes and create a supportive environment. Follow up sessions support you through the physical and emotional changes you experience with an emphasis on creating life long changes. Note: Two friends or family members may participate for the price of one.
2. Group Seminar: An in-depth, four hour introductory session is held on a Saturday afternoon, followed by four Thursday lunch or evening sessions(1.5 hrs each) to explore and support our way through the cleansing and clearing process. At each meeting, facilitators, including Dr. Christensen, will present and guide lively, experiential group discussions of key topics critical to maintaining our physical, emotional and spiritual health, including:
